Colorado Birding Challenge 2025

The 2025 Colorado Birding Challenge will be held on Saturday, September 6. This is one week earlier than last year’s event, which was the first to be held in fall, and should mean that there will be more chances to see migrants in the state.

In 2024, we had 26 teams registered in 15 Colorado counties. Our goal is to field teams in all 64 counties, so there is more work to do! For returning teams, please consider selecting a “less-birded” county for the 2025 Challenge as this will generate valuable eBird data and help us increase the footprint for the event.
