The hummingbird feeders at Archer’s Canyon Grill attract dozens of resident and migrating hummers. We will expect to see plenty of resident Broad-tailed Hummingbirds (adults and juveniles) as well as a small number of migrating adult Rufous and Calliope Hummingbirds (good photo opportunities). Bring a lawn chair. We will stay until sundown (about 7:30 pm). Leader will email participants to arrange for carpooling from Fort Collins for those interested. Drive time from Fort Collins about 90 minutes.
This workshop is led by Nick Komar. Nick is president of Colorado Field Ornithologists and biologist for the CDC in Fort Collins, CO. A lifelong birder, he had published a book and several articles on Colorado birds and birding. Nick considers Larimer County his local birding patch.
Registration is $10 for members and $20 for non-members.
