Join CFO and Anton Morrison, Animal Keeper at Denver Zoo, for a talk on January 29th. Anton will be speaking about birding at the Denver Zoo including aspects of diversity, connections, and conservation. Anton will focus on species, habitats, and different birding projects in and around the zoo campus in Denver’s City Park.

Anton Morrison has been at Denver Zoo for over ten years in various positions. He was a full-time bird keeper for seven years with a focus on flamingos, waterfowl, birds of prey, cranes, and sloths. He now works as a “float” keeper supporting various sections and projects amongst the bird, ambassador, pachyderm, and Asian pavilion areas. Anton shifted his focus from carnivorous mammals to birds while taking ornithology at Colorado State University and working in a wildlife rehabilitation center in Fort Collins.  He’s also worked on various international projects with flamingos in the Bahamas and South Africa and with vultures and other birds of prey in South Africa. Anton currently engages in multiple wildlife projects with birds in the Denver area and wants to get more people excited about birds, birding, and diversifying the community!
